How I Created My Stress Less Pair

Founder’s Story, One Self-Care Routine and lots of Calm Grooves

If you’ve ever felt that wave of stress or anxiety wash over you—heart racing, mind spinning, to-do list growing by the second—you’re not alone. As a mum, a business owner, and someone who cares deeply about supporting others, I know that feeling all too well.

Why I Created My Stress Less Pair

The truth is, I’m just as prone to stress and that anxious, on-edge feeling as the next mum. Sometimes, it feels like I can’t turn it off—even when I know all the “right” things to do. I wanted something simple, natural, and effective to help bring my nervous system back into balance. That’s why I created My Stress Less Pair.


This duo—Calm Spray and Calm Sea Soak—was born out of my own need to break the cycle of living in “fight or flight” mode, and to gently guide my body (and mind) back into a state of rest and digest. It’s not about perfection; it’s about having practical tools on hand for those moments when everything feels a bit much.

My Daily Self-Care Routine

Here’s how I use them in my own routine:

  • In the Morning: I start my day with a spritz of Calm Spray on my neck and shoulders — these are my 'areas'. It’s a quick and easy act of self-care that helps me feel like I am starting the day right before off to tackle the day. The scent of cedarwood and rose geranium (my absolute favourites!) is like a gentle reminder to breathe, slow down, and prioritise my own wellbeing—even if it’s just for a moment.
  • In the Evening: This is a once a week thing for me — I pull up a chill beats playlist and pour the Calm Sea Soak into a very warm bath. Sometimes it’s a full soak, sometimes it’s a quick dip, either way, it’s my signal to let go of the day’s or week's tension and give my nervous system time to wind down, calm and set back to a relaxed level.

Why These Are My Favourites

I chose these two because they’re simple, effective, and easy to fit into even the busiest schedule. They don’t require a huge time commitment or fancy routines—just a few mindful moments, whenever you need them most.


As someone who’s passionate about the science behind wellness, I also love knowing that magnesium, cedarwood, and rose geranium are all backed by research for their calming effects on the body and mind.
