How to Turn Your Bathroom into a Spa (in Under 10 Minutes)

The benefits of a magnesium sea soak go far beyond relaxation. In this blog post, we share a simple, step-by-step guide to transforming your bathroom into a mini spa—helping busy mums unwind, soothe sore muscles, and enjoy a moment of calm, all in under 10 minutes.

Let’s be honest: if you’re a mum, the idea of a long, luxurious spa day probably sounds like a fairy tale. Between work, school runs, and endless “Muuuum!” calls, carving out time for yourself can feel impossible. But what if you could create a mini spa experience at home—one that fits into even the craziest schedule?

The Magnesium Sea Soak: your secret weapon for relaxation, muscle relief, and glowing skin. Here’s how to transform your bathroom into a sanctuary (in less time than it takes to scroll Instagram).

Step 1: Set the Scene (1 minute)

  • Dim the lights or switch on a soft lamp. If you’ve got candles, light them—even if it’s just one!
  • Queue up your favourite chill playlist or a calming podcast. (Noise-cancelling headphones for the win.)
  • Hang a “do not disturb” sign on the door. Bribe the kids with a snack or a show. This is your time. Make it and take it!

Step 2: Prep Your Magnesium Sea Soak (1 minute)

Scoop a generous handful of Salt + Earth Co. Magnesium Sea Soak into your bath as the water runs.

No bath? No worries! Keep a small bowl handy for a foot soak or use it as a gentle body scrub in the shower.

Step 3: Add a Mindful Moment (2 minutes)

While your soak dissolves, take a few deep breaths. Try my favourite “box breathing” technique:

Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat a few times to calm your nervous system and signal “relax” to your body.

Step 4: Soak, Scrub, or Both (5 minutes)

  • For a soak: Slide in, close your eyes, and let the magnesium, Dead Sea salts, and clays work their magic. Feel your muscles loosen and your mind slow down.
  • For a scrub: Massage a small handful onto damp skin in gentle circles, focusing on tired legs, arms, or shoulders. Rinse off for instantly softer, smoother skin (and a mini energy boost!).
  • For a foot soak: Pour hot water into a basin, add your sea soak, and let your feet unwind while you sip tea or scroll memes.

Step 5: Lock in the Calm (1 minute)

Pat your skin dry and, if you have time, follow with a little Magnesium Cream or Calm Spray for extra hydration and relaxation.

Take a moment to notice how you feel—lighter, softer, and just a little more “you.”

Why This Works (Even If You Only Have 10 Minutes)

  • Magnesium Chloride helps relax muscles and calm frazzled nerves.
  • Dead Sea Salts and clays detoxify and nourish your skin, leaving you glowing.
  • Even a short ritual signals to your brain and body that you matter—because you do.

Mum-to-Mum Tip

If you can’t get 10 minutes alone, involve the kids! A quick foot soak or scrub is fun for little ones and teaches them the value of self-care, too.

Remember: You don’t need a fancy spa or a whole afternoon to feel better. Sometimes, all it takes is a handful of magnesium sea soak, a locked bathroom door, and a few deep breaths.
You’ve got this ✌️
